    Clash Report Converter

    Overview

Clash Report Converter turns Navisworks HTML clash reports into formatted Excel files — one .xlsx per HTML — in the layout that Clash Map reads. Each output workbook carries a summary block (tolerance plus the New / Active / Reviewed / Approved / Resolved counts) and a full clash table: clash name, status, distance, grid location, dates found and approved, approved-by, the X/Y/Z clash point, and both items' GUID and layer, with rows colour-coded by status. It runs entirely on the exported HTML — no model needs to be open.

    How to use

    1. In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the External Tools panel and click Clash Report Converter.
    2. Select one or more Navisworks HTML clash reports in the file picker.
    3. Each file is parsed and written as an .xlsx next to its source HTML, using the same base name.
    4. Read the report of how many files converted, then open the Excel files or import them into Clash Map.

    Tips & Notes

    • Multi-select converts a whole batch at once; a single unreadable file is reported without stopping the rest.
    • The output lands in the same folder as the source HTML, so keep exports organized per test if you convert many at a time.
    • Row colours follow the Navisworks status palette, so New / Active / Approved rows stay visually distinct in Excel.

    Limitations

    • Input must be Navisworks HTML clash-report exports; other report formats are not parsed.
    • An existing .xlsx of the same name is overwritten, and a target that is open or locked in Excel fails that one file.
