Library
Overview
The Library button on the Coordination tab opens the Library — a dockable pane for browsing families, system types, materials, and fill patterns from the active document and from your configured library folders. As of v2.0.0 the Library (together with the Detail Library and Family Manager) ships as part of B45 Library, a separate free product that owns and registers the pane; the Coordination button is a reach-in that simply shows or hides it. If B45 Library is not installed, the button explains how to get it instead of failing.
How to use
- In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Library panel and click Library.
- If B45 Library is installed, its Library pane toggles open (or closed); if not, a notice explains how to install it.
- Browse content from the active document, or configure library folders to browse external content.
- Switch between families, system types, materials, and fill patterns using the pane's tabs.
- Dock the pane to any side of the Revit window or float it on a second monitor; click Library again to hide it.
Tips & Notes
- The button reads the pane's real state each time, so it reliably toggles even after you close the pane with its own X.
- The Library button only appears when the B45 Library product is present (it also stays visible on the combined Suite install).
- Configure your standard library folders once — the pane remembers them between sessions.
Limitations
- The Library, Detail Library, and Family Manager live in the separate B45 Library product; the Coordination button only shows or hides its pane.
- If B45 Library is not installed, the button shows install guidance rather than opening a pane.
