Copy Documentation

Copy Entire Sheet imports documentation from another open Revit document into the current project, building new sheets as it goes. Pick the source model, then check the sheets to reproduce — each becomes a new target sheet with its title block, its paper-space annotations, and the drafting views, legends, and schedules that were on it — and/or check standalone drafting views, legends, and schedules to bring across on their own. You can also pull in the family types those items depend on. It is a best-effort, cross-document copy: warnings are suppressed and sheet-number clashes are auto-resolved by renaming.

1. Open both the source model and the current (target) model in the same Revit session.
2. In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Documentation panel, open the Import from Model pulldown, and choose Copy Entire Sheet.
3. Pick the source document from the dropdown at the top of the picker.
4. Check the source sheets to reproduce, and/or the individual drafting views, legends, and schedules to copy; optionally check the family types to bring across.
5. Optional: use Select in model to pick content directly on the source canvas — the picker reopens with your picks checked.
6. Run the import. A progress bar tracks the copy (press Esc to cancel); the created sheets are activated and the auxiliary view tabs opened during the copy are closed automatically.

• Each selected source sheet is recreated as a real target sheet, so this is the tool for pulling standardized detail sheets from a template project into a live model.
• Sheet-number collisions are resolved silently by renaming the incoming sheet — look for the original number as a prefix in the Project Browser after the import.
• Its sister command, Place on Existing Sheet, brings the same content onto sheets you already have instead of creating new ones.
