Visible Modules
Overview
Visible Modules is a dropdown that shows or hides individual B45 Labs ribbon buttons. It lists the nine modules grouped by their ribbon panel; ticking or unticking a row saves the choice immediately to a per-user settings file. Because the B45 ribbon is assembled once at Revit startup, the changes take effect after the next restart — a banner in the dropdown reminds you when a restart is pending.
How to use
- In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Help panel and click Visible Modules.
- The dropdown opens beneath the button, listing the modules grouped by their ribbon panel.
- Tick a module to show it or untick it to hide it — each toggle is saved on the spot, so there is no Apply button.
- Restart Revit to apply; the restart-to-apply banner turns amber once anything has changed from how the ribbon launched.
Tips & Notes
- The default state is everything visible (opt-out): hide the commands you never use to keep the ribbon focused on your workflow.
- The dropdown closes on Escape or when it loses focus; your choices are already saved, so closing it never loses anything.
- Hidden choices persist across sessions but reset when the plugin updates, so newly added commands stay discoverable — re-hide anything you still do not want.
Limitations
- Changes take effect only after restarting Revit, because the ribbon is built at startup.
