    Copy to Sheet

    Overview

Copy to Another Sheet takes the viewports and placed schedules you select on the active sheet and reproduces them on another sheet in the same document. Each item is routed by type: a legend is reused (the same legend view gets a new viewport), a regular view is duplicated with the mode you choose and then placed, and a placed schedule gets a fresh instance at its original insertion point. The source items stay where they are — this copies, it does not move.

    How to use

    1. Open the source sheet and select the viewports and placed schedules you want to copy — or launch first and pick them when prompted.
    2. In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Documentation panel and click Copy to Another Sheet — the button is only enabled on a sheet view.
    3. Choose the target sheet from the picker.
    4. If the selection includes a non-legend viewport, choose the duplication mode once — Duplicate, With Detailing, or As Dependent — and it applies to every duplicatable viewport in the batch.
    5. The items are copied to the target sheet, which is activated automatically; a report appears only if some items were skipped.

    Tips & Notes

    • Legends are reused rather than duplicated, so the same legend view can appear on many sheets — copy it onto each sheet without cluttering the Project Browser.
    • Duplicated views are renamed with a suffix that records the mode (- Copy, - Copy+Det, - Dep) plus a counter, so names stay unique.
    • Use Move Views & Elements instead when you want to relocate content rather than reproduce it.

    Limitations

    • Source and target sheets must be in the same document — use Import from Model for cross-document copies.
    • Requires an active sheet view; only viewports and placed schedules are eligible — title blocks and loose annotations are out of scope.
