Clear View — Preserve Links

Clear View — Preserve Links resets the active view to a clean state while restoring only the Revit Links that were manually hidden in it. "Clean state" means un-hiding manually hidden elements and model groups, showing all model categories while hiding annotation, analytical, import/CAD, raster-image and reference-point categories, and clearing the scope box, section box and crop — then it zooms to fit. Links you hid by category or showed intentionally are left exactly as you set them; the command does not delete any model content, it only changes what the view displays.

1. Open the view you want to reset, then in the B45 Labs | Coordination tab open the Model Management panel and click Clear View — Preserve Links.
2. If the view has a View Template, respond to the template prompt — the command aborts rather than edit a template that is not in Temporary View Properties mode.
3. It un-hides manually hidden elements and model groups, shows model categories, hides annotation / analytical / import categories, and resets scope box, section box and crop.
4. Revit Links that were manually hidden in the view are restored, while links you hid by category or showed intentionally stay as-is.
5. The view zooms to fit.

• Use this to recover a view someone cluttered with per-element hides and V/G tweaks without disturbing how the linked discipline models are set up.
• It runs up to four passes automatically, so nested groups that only surface after the first un-hide are cleaned too.
• The reference-point markers (Internal Origin, Project Base Point, Survey Point) are hidden as part of the cleanup.
