    Internal Origin (IO)

    Overview

Internal Origin (IO) toggles the visibility of the Internal Origin in the active view. The Internal Origin is Revit's fixed absolute origin, and this command flips its Site subcategory between shown and hidden in a single transaction, un-hiding the parent Site category first if needed. It only changes visibility — the Internal Origin itself is fixed by Revit and cannot be moved.

    How to use

    1. Open a model view — plan, section, elevation, 3D, or drafting view (sheets and schedules are not supported).
    2. In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Model Management panel and click Internal Origin (IO).
    3. The Internal Origin's visibility flips in the active view; run the command again to switch it back.

    Tips & Notes

    • Get Element Coordinates reports the Internal values measured from this origin — make it visible when you need to sight the absolute origin.

    Limitations

    • Visibility only — the Internal Origin cannot be moved; it is fixed by Revit.
    • Affects the active view only.
