Place on Existing Sheet

Place on Existing Sheet imports drafting views, legends, and schedules from another open Revit document and drops them onto sheets you already have — no new sheets are created. Pick the source model and check the content (you can also bring title blocks, sheet annotations, and the family types those items need), then, in the destination tree, check the existing target sheets — across one or several open models at once. A layout strategy controls where each item lands: Same position keeps its original spot from the source sheet, or Center places it at the sheet center. It is the sister of Copy Entire Sheet, which creates new sheets instead.

1. Open both the source model and the destination model(s) in the same Revit session.
2. In the B45 Labs | Coordination tab, open the Documentation panel, open the Import from Model pulldown, and choose Place on Existing Sheet.
3. Pick the source document from the dropdown, then check the drafting views, legends, and schedules to import — optionally the title blocks, sheet annotations, and family types.
4. In the destination tree, check the existing sheets to place onto — one or more per open model; use Match by number to tick same-numbered sheets across every model at once.
5. Choose the layout strategy: Same position (keep each item's original position) or Center.
6. Run it. The content is placed on every checked sheet; the active model's target sheet is activated and the auxiliary tabs opened during the copy are closed.

• The destination is a tree of every open project model, so one run can place the same content onto matching sheets across several models — Match by number lines them up by sheet number.
• Select in model lets you pick the source content directly on the source canvas instead of hunting through the lists; the picker reopens with your picks checked.
• Use Copy Entire Sheet instead when the destination sheets don't exist yet and you want them created for you.
